Military Vest

So I have been horrible keeping up with the blog lately. I told myself  that I shouldn’t post until I sat down to properly to put one together. Well that took forever – so I am currently typing with one hand, and holding Zara with the other. She has been a little sick the past few days so I’ve been chasing her around with fluids trying to keep her hydrated. She is getting better day by day.

Can you believe its October?!?!? I sure can’t. October is a special month for me -because it is the month Zara was born! She will be one next week. I can’t believe how fast time flies and how much life can change in just one year! We’ve been planning her birthday bash – I will let you guys in on the the deets soon!

On the style –  It’s not my most glamourous outfit but it is one of my favorite! I wore this when I made a quick run the Mariano’s and had the hubs take a quick few shots. I love layering clothes – as you can tell from my last three posts – i’ve been vesting it up lately! Its probably just another reason why I love fall. I found this military vest at the new Nordstrom Rack in Southloop and I fell in love with it. I paired it with a white tee, jeans and booties.

Fabulous Fall

With the official start of fall – it is the perfect time to bring out my puffer vests! I currently have 3 in my closet – I’m likely to get more by the end of the season! I find it is the perfect piece for layering – especially on those colder fall days. For this look I paired my favorite pair of skinny jeans, with a pretty pink lace front sweater from the limited, my saddle colored puffer vest from Jcrew, and tan booties.

My Trench

Even though the official start date of Fall is still 4 days away – its pretty safe to say – Fall is here! I love fall fashion! One of my new additions to my closet is my sleeveless trench! I know what your thinking – sleeveless seems out of place in cold weather, but this trench can really be worn year around! I love it because it looks great layered on top of a short or long sleeve tee, or even a collard shirt! For this look I paired my favorite jeans with a checked top from Banana Republic, heels, and a few gold accessories.

Green with envy

I always get excited about September – maybe it is because it reminds me of going back to school and the start of cooler weather. Its the season of vests, boots, and sweaters! I’m not a big fan of freezing cold snowy weather, but I do love fall weather. There are a few things on my fall wish list that I will be sharing with you soon!

Its no secret that I love the color green, and that I try to max the usage of my colored pants! I wore this outfit for a family outing when we were in Philly. I love these forest green pants I found at Jcrew in beginning of the summer. They are the perfect colored pant that you can transition into fall with. For this look I paired it with a black and white stripe shirt from H&M and simple strap heels. I also wore by fabulous tassel necklace from T&J designs!

Tribal Style

Happy belated Labor day all!

I hope you guys have been well. I took a small break from blogging to enjoy some time with my family! If you guys follow me on Instagram (@Hashtagglamour) – you probably know that I was in Philly for most of last week for my cousins wedding. It was a blast. I always feel exhausted but centered when I come back from a family reunion. Exhausted, because we usually stay up really late every night catching up and chatting about old times. Centered, because I really believe family is where the heart is! I was fortunate enough to grow up in a close knit family – where my cousins were around all the time. So it is always nice to see them – its like going back to my roots. Plus, it was the first time many of my aunts, uncles and cousins met Zara – so it made me really happy to see how much love everyone had for her.

Enough of the mushy gushiness! Although I’m sad to see summer go – I’m super excited about the fall! Fall is one of my favorite seasons. This week I am going to start posting some of my favorite summer/fall transitionary looks! So stay tunned!

On the style: I bought these pants last year from Banana Republic on super sale! When I went to Philly and my cousin threw an amazing Carnival party (WITH HORSES!!) I busted them out! I matched the pants with a simple white shirt, a tribal looking statement piece from Anthropology, and tan booties. I was going for an overall chic tribal look!

I hope you guys have a fantastic week!

Summer Nights

With the end of summer coming too fast – I am trying to squeeze every last drop in! I’m going to miss these amazing summer nights! I wore this casual outfit on an evening stroll with a few friends. Earlier this summer I found this lace top  at Forever 21 – I loved it instantly because it is very causal yet super chic. I paired it with olive green cargo pants from Zara and my favorite Converse sneakers!

Summer Blues

A few friends have asked me why I usually wear sunglass in all my pictures. One simple answer: it is because I feel like I always look tired! Juggling a 10 month old, work, and everything at home gets exhausting! I shouldn’t complain because thankfully, Zara is pretty great. But I now have a whole new appreciation for my own mom, I only hope to be as amazing to Zara!

I took a couple days off from blogging to catch up on a few things and reconnect with family and friends! My house is finally clean and organized (lets see how long this will last)! I also was super excited to catch up with a few friends last week, and my family on the weekend.

On the style: with summer soon coming to an end, I want to maximize wearing my colored pants! I paired blue pants from Zara, with a black and white blouse from Mango, I topped it off with some edgy heels.

Hope you guys are having a great week!

The Classic Collared Shirt

Happy Monday Everyone! Whenever I can’t think of anything to wear – I always reach for a collared shirt and jeans. It is a classic look. I love a great collared shirt – its a wardrobe staple! Whether its fitted, button down, loose and flowy, sheer, cotton, silk… it never goes out of style.  This weekend when my husband and I were out running errands I had him take a few shots of me of me in my classic look! I wore this green collared shirt with white boyfriend jeans and heels.

Blushy

I can’t wait for the weekend! It has been a crazy two weeks of travel and I just want to have a laid back weekend in the city. One of those awesome summer weekends filled with catching up with friends, brunching, a stroll in the park, fireworks, shopping…oh the list is endless!

On the style – I’m a total sucker for blush tones – especially in the summer time. I feel this palette is very soft, pretty, romantic and overall very feminine. I love the pinks, creams, and beiges. I picked up these pants at Uniqlo in NYC this past weekend and I was excited to dress them up! I paired them with a basic cream button up, heels, and a statement piece.

Minty Fresh

This past weekend my family and I took a trip to New York City! We went to visit family and celebrate our 6 year wedding anniversary! We have been to NYC a bunch of times before, but let me just say NYC with a baby is a whole different experience –  but in a good way! We did some shopping, ate at many different places, but also did some kid friendly things like Central Park, and visited FAO Schwarz. We were moving at a much slower pace – but it was still nice.

Zara is almost 10 months now, crawling and discovering new things everyday (she is currently climbing on me trying to reach the computer keys!) So when we flew to NYC I was a little nervous on how she would react on the plane, thankfully she played and fell asleep. I’ll post pics later this week!

On the style – Its not a secret that I love business casual outfits, and the color green!  So when I found this blouse at The Limited  I was super excited. I matched it with green cropped pants from Jcrew, heels, and a few gold accessories.
