Easy Saturday Look

Whoa – its already Wednesday?!! The weekend went by way too fast! First off – Happy Eid to everyone who is celebrating! Suhail, Zara, and I had a fun Eid weekend with our family in Michigan! Normally, Suhail and I come back rested – but this time we came back exhausted. I think we can attribute that to having too much fun! It was great seeing all of our family and friends. We go back to Michigan so often that sometimes I feel like we live in two places. I am thankful that its within driving distance – otherwise it would be really difficult especially with a 9 month old.

While we were in Michigan – My family and I got to check out the farmers market in Ann Arbor! I always forget how fun Ann Arbor is especially in the summer – there is always something fun going on! On the style: I wanted an ultimate laid back Saturday look, but still chic!  I paired a pair of boyfriend jeans with a loose top and wedges and dressed it up with accessories!

Friday Funday

Hi Everyone!

Hope you had a great 4th of July weekend! We spent another weekend in Michigan with both my family and my husbands family. Zara spent some quality time with both sides, which was great. The weekend was filled with relaxing, food, and of course fireworks! The worst part  of the whole weekend was spending 3 hours in traffic on 94 getting home.

Before we left Friday, Suhail, Zara and I stopped by the Roosevelt Collection in the South Loop to pick up a few things before heading out. We had no idea how awesome the area was getting with all the new restaurants and stores. I’m loving all the new development in South Loop!  We snapped a few pictures while we were there. When we are traveling I love wearing something easy and comfortable – like a maxi dress! I paired the maxi with a jean jacket and sandals -Its an easy chic look!

Red, White & Blue – Happy July 4th!

Happy July 4th everyone!

I hope everyone is enjoying their day off with family or friends! Here is my red, white & blue outfit in honor of Independence day. I picked up this blouse from Jcrew and paired it with white crop pants. I loved dressing it up with red heels, bag and a statement piece!

Have a safe and happy Independence day weekend!

Whiteout

Although, I don’t follow the “no white pants after labor day” rule to a tee, I do maximize wearing white and light colored pants during the summer months! White pants/jeans bring a whole new look to my wardrobe every summer!

For this look I paired by favorite white jeans with just a simple plain white tee and a bold statement piece. I love the way white on white looks – fresh, clean, and simple.

Bright Color Summer Chic

After living in Chicago for  4 years- my lists of restaurants I want to try is getting longer and longer. This past weekend I finally visited  Carnivale. I know, I’m late in trying it out, but its been on my list from the very beginning! The ambiance was so bright and colorful, the food was delicious, the company was awesome, not to mention the cotton candy for dessert. It was totally worth the wait! What are some of the restaurants you want to try?

On the style – If you can’t tell by now, I love blouses! This blouse is from a past season from Akira Chicago. I love the orange and blue stripes. I paired it with my favorite white Joes jeans, a tan belt, and wedges. I also wore a Laura Lombardi Necklace. I love her pieces – they are so trendy yet elegant.

Amour

Right before my husband and I went to Hawaii, I did some last minute shopping to get a few vacation outfits. Between work and the baby I really didn’t have time to shop too much for our vacation. I did a quick stop at Old Navy to get a pair of flip flops and I was surprised and happy to find a few great things! This “Amour” graphic tee was one of them! I really liked the mint green color – so I picked it up. I paired the tee with white jeans, wedges, and a few accessories including a scarf, bracelet and tan belt. The outfit, plus the perfect background of the ocean and the overall beauty of Hawaii made for the perfect style!

Easy Clean Casual

Hi All,

Here are the details on one of my favorite looks that I had posted on my instragram last week – The easy clean casual look! I love a great fitting chambray shirt. It is a great addition to any wardrobe. A chambray shirt can be styled so many different ways and looks great! With this look I paired my top with my favorite white jeans from joes jeans. It’s after Memorial day so white jeans/pants are a GO!

Island Blues

Aloha again from Hawaii!

My husband and I went exploring around Waikiki today. We totally looked like tourists with our Nikon camera snapping pictures – but the sunshine and island breeze were so nice we didn’t care!  If you don’t know by now – I love comfy stylish pants – especially on vacation.   For my “Island Blues” look I paired casual white linen pants with a blue tee and dressed it up with a statement piece necklace.
