Green with envy

I always get excited about September – maybe it is because it reminds me of going back to school and the start of cooler weather. Its the season of vests, boots, and sweaters! I’m not a big fan of freezing cold snowy weather, but I do love fall weather. There are a few things on my fall wish list that I will be sharing with you soon!

Its no secret that I love the color green, and that I try to max the usage of my colored pants! I wore this outfit for a family outing when we were in Philly. I love these forest green pants I found at Jcrew in beginning of the summer. They are the perfect colored pant that you can transition into fall with. For this look I paired it with a black and white stripe shirt from H&M and simple strap heels. I also wore by fabulous tassel necklace from T&J designs!

The Classic Collared Shirt

Happy Monday Everyone! Whenever I can’t think of anything to wear – I always reach for a collared shirt and jeans. It is a classic look. I love a great collared shirt – its a wardrobe staple! Whether its fitted, button down, loose and flowy, sheer, cotton, silk… it never goes out of style.  This weekend when my husband and I were out running errands I had him take a few shots of me of me in my classic look! I wore this green collared shirt with white boyfriend jeans and heels.

Got the blues

It is July 1st! Can you believe half the year is already over – where has the time gone? I’m gearing up for the long weekend, as usual we will head to Michigan to spend sometime with family and friends, have BBQ and enjoy some fireworks. Can’t wait!

The pants to tops ratio in my closet is disproportional, I have way too many pants and not enough shirts to match them all. But that didn’t stop me from getting these pleated front jogger pants! I’m always a little weary of pleated front pants because I am only 5’2  and it sometimes just doesn’t look right. But when I tried these on I loved them!

For this look, I paired the jogger pants with a blue blouse, a blue floral blazer, pretty heels, and a few gold accessories, including a statement piece!

Business Casual Cool

May-9-2014

Happy May everyone!

Yesterday my daughter turned 7 months! Where has the time gone? I feel like it was yesterday when I was rushing to the hospital with my husband because I was in labor.  These last 7 months have been the happiest and toughest in my entire life.  Happiest, because the joy a child brings to your life is amazing.  Coming home from a crazy day at work to see my daughters smiling face is wonderful! Toughest, because having a child turns you life upside down, and everything becomes a balancing act. I think the hardest thing is that your time to do things for yourself is so limited. Sometimes I wish I had the ability to be in two places at once – like at home with my husband and daughter – and out shopping at the same time! Oh well, I guess this is why they call motherhood the most challenging job in the world. If I figure out a way to be in two places at once I will let you know my secret!

I wore this outfit as a relaxed business casual look to work this week. I love cropped trousers pants, because you’re able to really show off your shoes! These pants are the Slone fit from Banana Republic. I paired it with a blouse from Zara, and my favorite jacket from Jcrew.
