With the official start of fall – it is the perfect time to bring out my puffer vests! I currently have 3 in my closet – I’m likely to get more by the end of the season! I find it is the perfect piece for layering – especially on those colder fall days. For this look I paired my favorite pair of skinny jeans, with a pretty pink lace front sweater from the limited, my saddle colored puffer vest from Jcrew, and tan booties.

I always get excited about September – maybe it is because it reminds me of going back to school and the start of cooler weather. Its the season of vests, boots, and sweaters! I’m not a big fan of freezing cold snowy weather, but I do love fall weather. There are a few things on my fall wish list that I will be sharing with you soon!
Its no secret that I love the color green, and that I try to max the usage of my colored pants! I wore this outfit for a family outing when we were in Philly. I love these forest green pants I found at Jcrew in beginning of the summer. They are the perfect colored pant that you can transition into fall with. For this look I paired it with a black and white stripe shirt from H&M and simple strap heels. I also wore by fabulous tassel necklace from T&J designs!

I can’t wait for the weekend! It has been a crazy two weeks of travel and I just want to have a laid back weekend in the city. One of those awesome summer weekends filled with catching up with friends, brunching, a stroll in the park, fireworks, shopping…oh the list is endless!
On the style – I’m a total sucker for blush tones – especially in the summer time. I feel this palette is very soft, pretty, romantic and overall very feminine. I love the pinks, creams, and beiges. I picked up these pants at Uniqlo in NYC this past weekend and I was excited to dress them up! I paired them with a basic cream button up, heels, and a statement piece.

This past weekend my family and I took a trip to New York City! We went to visit family and celebrate our 6 year wedding anniversary! We have been to NYC a bunch of times before, but let me just say NYC with a baby is a whole different experience – but in a good way! We did some shopping, ate at many different places, but also did some kid friendly things like Central Park, and visited FAO Schwarz. We were moving at a much slower pace – but it was still nice.
Zara is almost 10 months now, crawling and discovering new things everyday (she is currently climbing on me trying to reach the computer keys!) So when we flew to NYC I was a little nervous on how she would react on the plane, thankfully she played and fell asleep. I’ll post pics later this week!
On the style – Its not a secret that I love business casual outfits, and the color green! So when I found this blouse at The Limited I was super excited. I matched it with green cropped pants from Jcrew, heels, and a few gold accessories.

Happy Friday Everyone!
Another crazy week just flew by and I am super excited for the weekend! We will be heading to Michigan for Eid (The end of Ramadan) this weekend. I love going to Michigan, we get to spend time with family and friends and Zara gets spoiled by her grandparents! Its hard to balance work and a 9 month old, so it is really nice when we go to Michigan, because Suhail and I get some R&R (rest and relaxation). After we get back Suhail and I have made pact to go on a health food binge – I’ll let you know how that goes (or if it goes at all)! What do you guys have planned for the weekend?
So the past few days in Chicago the weather has been a little mild. I’m not complaining because I love spring and fall temperatures! I bought this sweater from Jcrew months ago thinking I would save it for later this year. But when the temp dropped I seized the opportunity and wore it last night for dinner! I love this classic look. I wore the sweater with a tank, and paired with blue jeans, wedges and gold accessories.
Have a great weekend!

Happy July 4th everyone!
I hope everyone is enjoying their day off with family or friends! Here is my red, white & blue outfit in honor of Independence day. I picked up this blouse from Jcrew and paired it with white crop pants. I loved dressing it up with red heels, bag and a statement piece!
Have a safe and happy Independence day weekend!

Happy Wednesday ya’ll! (one day closer to the long weekend!)
There were so many great sales going on this past weekend that I couldn’t resist shopping a bit! I picked up these checkered cropped pants from Ann Taylor Loft. I really liked the pattern and they are a light and airy fabric, which makes it great for summer. For this particular look I paired it with light orange cardigan from Jcrew Factory and of course a pretty statement piece!
Also, did you guys get a chance to see that Donna Karen is debuting its new DKNY Ramadan capsule collection! It is a 12 piece collection which the clothing is a little longer, modern, and have a more modest silhouette. Check out the DKNY website for the collection lookbook.
